I grew up in the Netherlands, where I obtained my LLB (Dutch Law) at Utrecht Law College.  After I finished my degree, I did a clerkship at Stibbe, a top tier corporate law firm in the Netherlands, in their mergers and acquisition team.  I moved to Australia in 2011, and after obtaining my Juris Doctor degree at Sydney University I was admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales as a solicitor in 2015. I started my career in a boutique city firm and have since gained experience in Wills & Estates matters, Property Law, Conveyancing and Commercial Law.

I now specialise in Estate Planning, including business succession, trusts and SMSFs.

I love the technicalities of estate planning and working with people to tailor an estate plan to their individual needs. I am a lateral thinker and strive to achieve a practical result for my clients. In the field of Wills & Estates, the issues at hand are often emotionally difficult to grapple with and I approach my clients with empathy.

I became a lawyer because I like problem solving, as well as helping people. Even as a teenager, I was a member of my school’s debating club, I always had an opinion on current affairs and felt strongly about justice.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I can often be found at the stables, spending time with my horse Dexter.
